X4 NAS plus makes data protection and management simple while keeping to the reality of today’s budget conscious operation. With majority of its enhancements and upgrades in software, X4 NAS plus manages to keep its cost of ownership down while delivering exponentially higher performance and flexibility.

Exceptional Performance

With Embedded OS, 64bit disk and network I/O, Pentium 4 CPU and 512MB or higher DDR memory, X4 NAS plus is poised to deliver the record breaking performance. In addition, X4 NAS plus supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 10 and JBOD, where RAID 10 combines both performance of RAID 0 while maintaining redundancy of RAID 1. Dedicated controller per hard disk drive delivers highest throughput with reliability for both PATA (133MB/sec) and SATA (150MB/sec).

Mission Critical Features

X4 NAS plus has wide range of features to ensure server uptime and client service. Features include, RAID 0, 1, 5, 10 and JBOD with hot spare support, Gigabit (copper or fiber) NIC’s with link aggregation and fail-over, hot swap HDD, hot swap PSU option, UPS support, and flash ROM for embedded OS.

X4 NAS plus also incorporates multiple snap shot recovery for recovering any data that may have been deleted by accident.

Security and Manageability

X4 NAS plus secures its data by synchronizing with various servers and authenticating each user and password for access. X4 NAS plus uses security scheme of ADS/PDC/Host IP blocking for Microsoft, NIS and UNIX Host for UNIX clients, Local/Group security for Apple, Web and FTP clients.

X4 NAS plus is simple to manage with 10 to 15 minutes required for deployment. It is accessible from anywhere in the world using SSL based telnet or web admin interface.

Scalabilty and Backup

X4 NAS plus can scale to 2.0TB (8 x 250GB HDD) in 2U chassis. Also comes with Ultra 160 SCSI for external tape back up support.
