X5 NAS is an enterprise class NAS based on embedded Linux OS. Offering the highest density of 9.6TB in 5U chassis, X5 NAS boasts various high-end features such as server level mirroring and fail-over, snap shot recovery, backup suite agent, ADS/PDC/NIS sync., and RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, and 50 with battery backup.

NetEngine Software-Only Solution

NetEnigne’s embedded OS is based on Linux 2.4.x. Both X4 NAS plus and X5 NAS OS’s are offered at a fraction of the turnkey solution cost, intended for qualified system integrators that are willing to partner with NetEngine and provide self-driven network storage solution.

Qualification requirements are:

  1. Maintain its own team of sales, marketing and support to adequately drive and maintain NAS products and solutions
  2. Handle integration, testing and shipping directly to its customers
  3. Work with NetEngine team for future projects by providing field feed backs and customer wish list
  4. Provide product warranty and support to be competitive with other NAS manufacturers in the industry

NetEngine provides sample system BOM that has been tested for its compatibility with NAS OS.
