Gateway Model

The Gateway Model serves as a head-node to attached storage subsystems such as SCSI, iSCSI (e.g. IP SAN) or FC (Fibre Channel). The Gateway Model provides all the network, storage, access control and high-availability features of the X6 NAS and provides the capacity of the attached storage subsystems as ready-to-use network shares for Microsoft, Apple, UNIX/Linux and web clients. It is a solution that can expand to the highest levels of storage capacity and performance.

Single Box Model

The Single Box Model consists of both Network Attached Storage (NAS) and iSCSI Target in a single physical system. Multiple storage volumes can be created and managed as a network share or block device with network attachment. As with the Gateway Model, all necessary features for network, storage, access control and high-availability are provided for Microsoft, Apple, UNIX/Linux and web clients. It is a simple and cost effective solution that can be prepared and launched in minutes. The Single Box Model can be configured into a system with as little as four HDDs or as much as 32 HDDs.

iSCSI Target Model

The iSCSI (e.g. IP SAN) Target Model enables the continued use of network assets with very little or no reconfiguration. Equipped with network, storage, access control (client and server level), data recovery and multi-system volume expansion features, it is easy to add large amounts of storage capacity to work with your existing Microsoft, UNIX/Linux or Apple servers. This sophisticated storage solution is more flexible than conventional Direct Attached Storage (DAS) solutions.
